Xbench 古くからのMac専用ベンチマーク
Geekbench 最近良く使用されているWin,Mac,Linux対応
20090410にMac mini(Early 2009)を購入し、ついでにSSDを入れてメインマシンにしようと思ったところから悪夢の始まりだった・・・。
購入したSSDはElecom ESD-I 128GBだった始めのベンチマークは(今までのiMacに比べれば)爆速!
しかし、そこから悪夢が始まった、購入してから10日目何気にFirefoxを起動したところ反応がない?いや他のアプリは動いている、「これが噂に聞くプチフリか」と思い数十秒ぐらいのレスポンスがブラウザ(Safari Firefox Opera)を使っていた。
このブラウザフリーズ現象はどんどん頻繁に起こるようになっていき、しまいには4,5分待たされるはめになってしまった。
ってな訳で、現在は外付け(IEEE1394b)にOS入れて使用しています。Xbenchの結果を載せるがDisk TestでもまだSSDの方が早いが、一番使用頻度の高いブラウザでこんな頻繁にフリーズされていたらたまったもんじゃない、こんどはJMチップじゃなくてSamsungかIntel製を買います。
